Every once and a while you find yourself wanting to step out looking dapper. Today’s challenge was to create a fit using products from Zappos.com to create a preppy fit suitable for a nice evening out. Let’s dive into it!
Today’s shirt is from Kenneth Cole. The Kenneth Cole “New York” shirt is regular fit. The blue stripes are clean and not distracting, and will not clash with any of the other elements in the fit. –$62.99
When choosing a belt, one simple rule applies. Always match your belt with the color and or finish of the shoe’s you are wearing. This Ariat Work Belt is triple stitched and excellent quality, and matches the Clark Chukkas perfectly. –$33.95
To add some color to today’s fit, I’ve chose the French Connection Kent Trowser with a colored interior. When dressing preppy, splashes of color can help separate you from the pack. The red stands out, but doesn’t hurt any element of the fit. A great piece to have. –$98
Watch game today keeps it classy. Stainless steel is timeless, and the circular watch face solidifies your manhood (I can’t justify the rectangular faces). This Fossil CH2600 is a great watch that you’ll get a ton of wear out of, and will ring up for a great price. $95
So you’ve seen hypebeasts all over limited edition Nike Elite Socks? Welcome to the prep sock game. Invisible for most of the time you’ll be wearing today’s fit, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing you’re wearing some kick ass Stance Newbury socks. Flair is everything, and a proper sock game separates the men from the boys. $10
Finally, kicks of the day. The Clarks Desert Boot in the Oak colorway is as clean as it gets. The distressed suede gives some edge to your footwear, and the chukka mid-rise will allow for the French Connection trowser to peek through some of that brilliant red color. $120

Yesterday’s fit featured clothing from Boston’s local Bodega. Today we are taking a look at another Boston favorite, Concepts. Concepts is one of the oldest retailers of Nike Sb’s, and between their Lobster, When Pigs Fly, New Balance Kennedy and Seal collaborations, they arguably put out some of the most sought after Nike and New Balances year after year. Take a look at today’s fit inspired by the “When Pigs Fly” Nike SB.
Comme Des Garcons is a Japanese clothing label (French for “Like Boys”). The “Play” zip sweatshirt pulls on the dark blue featured on the When Pigs Fly SB tongue. -$325
Paired with the When Pigs Fly release came this white and pink Nike SB shirt exclusively from Concepts. The pink pairs perfectly with the kicks, and the shirt features Concepts branding on the back. -$32
These Nike SB X Levi’s Denim are dark wash and high quality. Ties together the skateboarding elements with the high end Garcons sweatshirt. -$49
Finally, the “When Pigs Fly” Nike SB. Modeled after the film Porky’s, these shoes feature a metallic nike swoosh, long haired pink suede, and a shaggy grey suede along the tongue. Black, Blue, and Silver laces came with the Premium release, so feel free to mix and match (I currently have pink laces in mine). –$125

Boston is home to some amazing sneaker spots. Between Concepts and Bodega alone, our botiques around the city have rich sneaker culture. Today’s fit uses items from Bodega’s own line, as well as some, how should I say, “not hypebeast” kicks. Check it out below:
Today’s lid is produced by BDGA. The “Blastin Y’All” features olympic colors and the dark navy is super clean. Normally $35, the Snapback is recently marked down. $10
The Bodega Long Sleeved Rugby shirt is the perfect compliment to today’s fit. I love the stripes along the sleeves and the varsity numbers. Normally $70, this shirt has also been marked down. $20
For Bottoms, I had to go off Bodega’s site who rarely carry pants, to grab these LRG Core Collection 5 pockets. There is too much blue in this fit to justify denim, so these light khakis will tie things together nicely. $69.00
To accessorize, I’ve added a George Frost Harpoon Bracelet. Optional to the fit, the designer bracelet is well made and will help distinguish your style. $80
Finally, the “non hypbeast” kicks which complete the fit. These are Nike Sportswear’s “Air Trainer SC High” and can be found on Bodega’s website. For those of you who are familiar, this is NFL and MLB player Bo Jackson’s official shoe. –$110

Today’s fit is inpsired by the Jordan IV Retro “Bred” colorway. This kick is a staple in most sneakerhead’s collections, and after recently restocking on Finish Line for the 4th or 5th time, I figure it is safe to assume the shoe is not limited. Take a look at today’s fit featuring Mitchell and Ness, Crooks and Castles, Billionaire Boys Club, and Nixon.
First up, we have a Chicago Bulls snapback from Mitchell and Ness. This classic colorway compliments the Bred IVs perfectly, and incorporates the varsity red hints of the retro Jordan. -$25
Next, we have a Crooks & Castles “Pieces of Man” Buttonup, on sale at Merchgroup. The grey is very neutral and allows for your accessories and shoes to do the talking for your fit. -$22
To add a little flair, I’ve added the Nixon “Re-Run” watch in gold. 80s styling will make this watch having you say “Trill”. -$125
For denim, I have chosen the black Billionaire Boys Club “Classic Helmet” 5 pocket jean. These are currently marked down at PLNDR.com, and will tie together all the elements of the fit. -$64.99

Its cold in the Northeast, and I can never have enough Flannels. I love CCS.com for Flannels and graphic shirts. This Red Plaid shirt can be found in full sizes for $24.99.
When it comes to cheap denim, I recommend stopping in over at Karmaloop to check for some steals. I found this Vans “V56” in ful sizes for just $18.95.
Its no secret I am in love with New Balance, especially the 574 model. This Burgandy 574 model is from the Backpack Pack and will only run you $50 at Joes New Balance Outlet.
